We were on the factory floor today at Versatech in Effingham. Nichole Walters and Eric Schackmann spoke to us about quoting, reducing waste, and the trial and error involved in custom automation. Not only did we receive some great advice, but we also got to see the robots in action. We witnessed the importance of understanding a customer’s needs and building a relationship with them.

It was pretty cool to learned about the roles within the company that many of our students are interested in pursuing as careers such as: welding, electrician, programming, engineering, and accounting.
